The Smalltown Hounds

The Smalltown Hounds is a bluegrass/old-time band formed in late 2024 by guitarist Peter Bayerle and banjo player Riley Loney. The two first met during their high school years at Riverview High School and began playing together casually in Peter’s Grade 12 year. A few months after Peter graduated, he asked Riley a simple question: “Do you want to start a band?”

Since then, The Smalltown Hounds have performed at old folks’ homes, with Ivan and Vivian Hicks and the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers, and even played at an indoor skate park. Audiences from past shows have described the band as fun and entertaining.
