ABOUT US
Harvey Hall is a community space where history and memories are created, knowledge can be shared, neighbours become friends, and visitors can wonder. Its history has provided a community connection that has always been important in Albert County and that way of life must be protected with the preservation of the building.
Since 1884, the Hall has hosted parties, weddings, anniversaries, concerts, school rooms, farmers' markets and exhibitions, memorials, and variety shows. Its architecture has been attributed to Harvey-born architect brothers, James and Merritt Reid.

Tamara Morais
Board of Directors
Raised in New Brunswick, Tamara somehow stumbled into the 21st century but remains happily obsessed with the past. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and certification in the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework for Early Learning, she brings a mix of experience, curiosity, and calm to every role she takes on. Tamara has worked with Health and Community Services and currently supports students with exceptional needs as an Educational Assistant with Anglophone East School District.
A lifelong volunteer, Tamara has poured her energy into causes close to her heart — including the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ronald McDonald Family Room, House of Nazareth, the Hillsborough Ladies Auxiliary, and the daily school breakfast program, where she’s been a cheerful fixture for the past eight years.
As a proud member of the historical site’s board of directors, Tamara brings equal parts enthusiasm, elbow grease, and a genuine love for dusty relics and stories that refuse to be forgotten. Her creative thinking and lighthearted spirit make her a quiet but essential presence — whether she’s serving punch and cookies, stacking (or unstacking) chairs, directing guests to parking, or pointing the way to our beautifully renovated bathrooms.
Tamara believes history isn’t just something we study — it’s something we live, celebrate, and honour.
When she’s not helping preserve the past, she’s busy creating her own moments — usually outdoors, with a paintbrush in hand, a good book nearby, or chasing sunsets with her daughters by her side.
